Future Authoring Letter

Letter Date: 10th January 2024

Hey Rhys,

Let me just start by saying thankyou for what you’ve done, because of you I’m now able too…
Because of you I’m not able to live a life of deep fulfillment. I live in a beautiful country, with regular access to stunning nature and the best bit is I get to enjoy this regularly. The work I do is deeply meaningful and our home is beautiful, vibrant, happy and creative. I get to travel throughout Europe and the world and cultivate local and international friendships with others similarly guided by strong senses of purpose. I work when I want to – often 3-4hrs a day, but in big bursts when there is a big project on (which I love). I get to go to international trainings and festivals where I’m an active co-contributor to the festivities, talks and workshops. I also get plenty of time for creativity and family connection (which are not exclusive!). We often go on 6 week holidays overseas and can choose to live seasonally due to our work and out passive income.
The wisdom and discipline you showed has helped me to achieve…
kicking off my own business which is meaningful and scalable and brings me so much fulfillment through serving others. I have been able to make a haven of our Uki home and when we’re not living in it it is a significant source of income. This has allowed for a seasonal lifestyle, plenty of visits to melbourne as well as funding a very successful immersive theatre experience that toured internationally. I was aslo able to devote time to creating an Acton academy for Ariane and Schnorgmorklen so that my children are getting the most cutting-edge education and avoiding the pitfalls of modern education. I was also able to leave my desk job for more lucrative, freeing work. I’ve been able to study directly with the world leaders that inspire me, like Arnold Mindell, Robert Gonzales, Aubrey Marcus, Esther Perell and Hanzi Freinacht. I have also been able to cultivate my writing and public speaking to the point where I am an active leader in a metamodern political party, and we’re having real clout and moving the world towards a more listening society. Me and Staphnei have ket our relationship vibrant and exciting by being able to cultivate eros in the spaces inside and outside the home. Lastly, I’ve been able to be a present and attentive father for my children at all stages of their life.
Because of what you learned and how I gained, I’ve been able to increase my impact. Here’s just some of what you’ve made possible:

In case you were wondering if it’s all worth it, let me assure you that…

this is the time of life where you really started taking ownership of what your future would actually look like. And it is so, so good to be living this life. The challenges that I face are ones that I have chosen; that interest me and are problems that the world needs solved. I have so much more to give – there isn’t the sense of pinched-ness that used to be my constant companion. I have time for others. I have time for myself. I feel expansive, joyful and at ease. I seek out pressure and challenge but it has become so much more fun. And there has just been more and more opportunity as I have kept along this path. This is the family life and culture that I wish I grew up in and I’m so proud to be raising our children in this way, living this life.
I know you worked hard and made sacrifices to make the lifestyle I now live possible, so let me walk you through a typical day so that you know what’s head of you…
We wake up in our beautiful chalet – me and Stephanie have has a luxurious night’s sleep and our room is filled with light with a view of the epic mountains outside. The kids are up early, making their own breakfast and doing their own chores (e.g. making their beds etc) ready to go to the independant school that I helped found. I’m the first up; with my morning practices. Breathing, then an ice-bath, then journalling with Rudi. I’m lively and joyful when I greet the kids. Suzannah has her own flat nearby and drops in on the morning routine when she feels like it. Once the kids are at school, the first work bout of the day begins. We each have our own offices, and we choose when we’re working together or seperately. I start the first work bout with the deep work – the current area of specialisation or big project that is actually the most meaningful. Today it is writing our second novel – the first was such a success that we got a deal for the second, and I want to explore deeper themes of nature connection, cultural rites and applied magik and the integration of modernity in this novel. After the first session, its time for my workout; weights, stabilty, jiu-jitsu or endurance depending on the day. The second work bout is more related to the immediate projects we have going on. This can take 5 minutes or 5 hours depending on what our shedule looks like. Today, we have a retreat coming up in 2 weeks time and our systems are so good there’s not that much to do – handling a couple of guest enquiries and polishing some of the workshop activities that I’ve been refining . I’m done with work at Midday. The rest of the day is spent strumming guitar, going for coffee at the local cafe (I offered some training to the barista so the coffee is actually good) and hike up the local hill with Stephanie. We make luxurious love in the afternoon before the kids get home. The afternoon is spent playing drama games with the kids and running around outside. We sit together for a home cooked meal and share the highs and lows from the day together. That evening, Steph and I are hosting a ritual circle (its that night of the week) and we delight in facilitating it together. We go to sleep happy, tired, and inspired for the next day.
Lastly, I need you to know that…
The vision, commitment, and drive that you have in you made this happen, and I am so proud. At times you freaked out, but if you could see me now you’d know that there is no need to worry – that you stayed the path to bring this beautiful existence into fruition. You stayed singlminded and didn’t get distracted and for this I have so much thanks. I’m also impressed at how open to possiblity you stayed and made the right moves at the right times to get us here. Thank you for trusting your vision.
