Future Authoring Letter

Letter Date: 10th January 2024

Hey Stephanie,

Let me just start by saying thankyou for what you’ve done, because of you I’m now able too…
I’m so grateful for the wise choices you’ve made, and the clever mastering of focused deep work.
Because of this, I’m now able to live a life of creativity and exploration – I have the time and freedom to connect with my daughters and my beautiful husband. We get to live a life of multiple countries. We are able to hire the help we need to make life smooth and free up time to focus on the fun, the deep work and the play. We can plan meaningful adventures with our children and learn so much along the way. I have been able to step fully into myself as a medicine woman, and watch my partner flourish in his work. I enjoy the success and recognition that my work brings me, and I just love creative projects with Rhys. It’s amazing being able to fly business class internationally too! We always have enough money to purchase ethically – buying local goods, making ecologically sound decisions and overall supporting the non-corporate economy. We have the freedom of finances to make wise investments, and always a little bit in reserve to jump on good opportunities when they arise. Our property in northern rivers is so lush! we have installed a natural swimming pool and a sauna, established gorgeous sub tropical medicine gardens, built a few eco cabins and terraformed this hill beautifully. I have the capacity to support my parents so that their final decades are stress free and full of play.
The wisdom and discipline you showed has helped me to achieve…
As I said in the last section, one of the big things that I’ve been able to fund due to your wisdom and discipline is a fully actualised bush paradise here at Heartwood Hill. The hill is terraced, beautiful meandering medicine gardens are established, there are two sweet little eco cabins/ tiny houses, swimming in the natural pool and sweating in the sauna (all with mountain views) is just delightful (and Rhys LOVES it). Permaculture gardens are established, it produces lots of food, the soil is thriving, and we have a special ceremonial ground evocative of my druidic ancestors. Heartwood Hill is a really special place for retreats and healing work, and in fact often gets booked out at high prices for this purpose, bringing in income to be self-supporting. We have a wonderful caretaker living on the property and simply loving the land.
Rhys, the children and I were able to go on a transformative journey to south America for nearly 2 years, where I studied with San Pedro and ayahuasca healers, and learnt the hidden art of brujeria and plant wisdom from a wise old woman. The children LOVED IT and were able to learn Spanish and experience a life of total animism. This experience has really set them up for a life of magic and meaning. Rhys was surprised how much he loved it, and found his own thread of the medicine path. He also found his other points of meaning in this journey. The other major journey we embarked on was an ancestral reclaiming journey to the British isles. We decided to get all our ancestry DNA tested, and based on the results plotted a pilgrimage of discovery. Suzannah and polly came with us for different parts of this journey and they loved being involved, and having everything paid for! Along the way, I was able to deeply connect to druidry and meet people practicing witchcraft, going deeper into this path. Rhys studied with Martin Shaw, learning the art of bardistry. We created some powerful connections and feel so alive and like we belong to time.
We were able to create mini documentaries (film or book) about both of these journeys, and create tour of talks comparing south american shamanism and Celtic druidry practices. This bore plenty of fruit!
Rhys and I have had the time and the editing help to write our book about greater helvetania, and it is so fun. We now have done a series of DND campaigns, and are writing a series of young adult fiction based off these campaigns. This is also generating income that we can put purely towards investments and growing our family wealth in the future.
Finally, we have been able to purchase a mountain alpine retreat in Switzerland – an epic place high in the alps that helps the soul sing just being there. There is lots of existing infrastructure, and the best bit? There is a hazel grove and some enormous oaks. Our healing centre is starting to emerge , and we have the financial freedom to do this slowly and playfully. The kids LOVE it here. Meme has been living with us in Switzerland, and there is a caretakers cabin that Denis can live in whenever he wants. We have started offering some retreats and medicine work, and in fact we have been so surprised by the wonderful community of like-minded folk we have discovered in Switzerland. I have a huge market for my plant connection work, and an enterprising Swiss business woman wants to collaborate with creating a product line of traditional medicinal products including teas, tincture blends and powdered drinks here in Switzerland. I’m 50 this year and feel fabulous!!!
Because of what you learned and how I gained, I’ve been able to increase my impact. Here’s just some of what you’ve made possible:

In case you were wondering if it’s all worth it, let me assure you that…

it does feel amazing. I never dared to imagine that a life of this scope and freedom was actually possible for me. Every day I feel grateful, and due to the freedom of time and work I get to explore the many facets of human-ing. I feel so expansive, free, connected to self and spirit, and like I’m doing meaningful work. I’ve written multiple books, short and long, and feel a deep sense of satisfaction. I;ve had the time and discipline to focus on my health, and you know what? I’m entirely pain free, and can hike multiple days! The multi-day trek we did in the British isles with donkeys was simply magical and a testament to the hard work I put in. I’m so fit you know – I’ve never been so toned! 50 and two children, and fit as a fiddle. There is a deep sense of fulfilment, connection, and many moments of bliss.
I know you worked hard and made sacrifices to make the lifestyle I now live possible, so let me walk you through a typical day so that you know what’s head of you…
I wake up after a deep and refreshing sleep – around 6.30 am.
I have about an hour of solo time before the children need me (they know to play quietly until 8am). I do yoga/pilates, then go outside to the nature altar to make offerings, prayers and meditation.
After this, the whole family sits together for a delicious breakfast of fresh eggs, gf pancakes, and veggie juice. The children love their yoghurt and fruit salad as a bonus!
The morning is for learning – so one of the adults takes the kids for their schooling journey and exploration, and the other adult/s study, write, and do deep work.
After lunch we all have a siesta. – Rhys and I get some connection time and the children have quiet resting and reading time.
The afternoon is for adventures, so we either do work on the land or go exploring to nearby villages, or natural beauty spots to hike, bike and swim. Sometimes we do this all together, and sometimes we have 1:1 time with individual children or other family members.
Dinner is an all-family affair and we often have friends or other family members joining us. In fact we often have woofers, helpers, apprentices, au pairs living with us too. Delicious, wholesome food that supports all our health! After dinner we have a no-electricity rule, so it’s candles, a fire in the fire pit, music, storytelling.
Our children are so in love with life and so satisfied that they are very well behaved. Around 8pm they head off the bed in their shared room and go to sleep.
Rhys and I retire around 9.30, and sleep deeply through until 6.30 the following morning.
Two days per week I have 4-5 hours of clients – herbal medicine, pagan coaching, health coaching. These two days pay all of our regular living expenses!
Once every 6 weeks we run a week long retreat – this is intense, focused work and everyone who participates is blown away by the experience – the beauty, magic and power of it.
Once per week I get long, delicious massage, as well as effective natural beauty treatments that support me to continue to look radiant as I age naturally.
Lastly, I need you to know that…
I really admire and appreciate your clarity of vision and the self-discipline that you demonstrated in creating wealth, in fighting for your fitness and radiant health, and also in crafting a life of connection, purpose and meaning. You strove for a life that you wish all people could live! One of beauty, freedom and purpose. You were able to generate money in your business, but you also stayed true to your deepest calling. Sometimes this meant a little side-step but it all added up to this place. There were days when you wanted to relax or socialise, but you felt the wave of creative energy and focused on your work. You learnt the difficult skill of staying focused and productive as a freelancer. Well done! that was hard, but you managed it, and this is what freed up your time. I’m so grateful , and I respect you so much. I love that you finally embraced your own worth. I love you, past Stephanie.
